oh i just can't imagine how this is going to work in an american context.. shoegal it's really kind of hard to explain the show...i have only ever watched about half an episode but it's about a really aussie suburban mother and daughter (the word we'd use here is bogan..) who have this hilarious, dysfunctional relationship...
i guess it would be like making fun of the 'chav' culture in the UK...i'm really not sure what the american equivalent would be the idea is that these people live in a really suburban area and have no style, little education, are very 'simple'. it's a stereotype that gets used here in australia a lot...they have really thick aussie accents, are stuck in the 80s, are really crass and embarassing etc...

I think that is kind of similar to America's concept of Suburbia... Kind of like middle class, white-washed, bland, with not style and very uninsteresting... Sort of like that show Rosanne. I couldn't say for surew, though!

I much MUCH prefer her with cropped or bobbed hair. She's got that kind of striking face and bone structure that can pull of the short sharp look so well and i think she doesn't make the most of her beauty with this long style-less cut.

EDIT: just saw that the extensions are for her new show...... but still...!!
