Model Sessilee Lopez was by Zac Posen’s side at the CFDA Fashion Awards in June—and she plans to stand by him through thick and thin. The designer has his spring 2012 show tonight and, despite spraining her ankle yesterday and hobbling around with crutches, Lopez told us she still plans to walk in it. Here’s the conversation we had with her backstage, while she was getting her hair styled for Posen’s show.

ELLE: How did you sprain your ankle?
Sessilee Lopez: I sprained it yesterday during a photo shoot! I’m using crutches so that I don’t do more harm than good. I’m still planning on wearing heels for the show—I sprained my ankle once before, early on in my career, and I know I can do it. I’ll definitely be better before the shows in Europe.

total scandal that she wasn't setting the runways on fire

TBH it's been kinda boring this season I was hoping to see my faves Sessilee Chanel, & Arlenis werkin it this season like the rent was due lol but evidently im to be disappointed. even my other faves aren't pulling in the shows i was hoping for

anyway, total shame about sess ankle I hope she makes a full recovery soon with no lasting damage.. but i am impressed that she was able to still rock it. now thats a pro!! I woulda been home kicking back & piggin out on icecream

I didn't know she had a sprained ankle. She is a smart girl for proving herself to be a trooper, keeping her designer loyalties in order, and making sure her coins are still being deposited in the bank regardless of an injury that many would use as an excuse to be absent or missing in action.

She demolished the fourth photo in the Halston advertisement series. That pose is on the money.
