Family Photos

Because I was asked . . .

People always ask Sessilee where is she from or what is she mixed with; our family is culturally mixed and we are proud of ALL of our heritage. I'm posting photos of her maternal side of the family, since that's all I have.

Caption: The old photo of the guy with the big mustache is Sessilee's great great grandfather (Frank Marquez).

Caption: The photo with the little girl is Sessilee's great grandfather and grandmother. The little girl would be her great aunt.

Caption: The color portrait is Sessilee's grandfather and grandmother, who she is very close to.

Sessilee also has a strong African-American and Latino heritage from her paternal side.

Yes, her grandmother (who you see under the tree) brings in the African-American heritage on this side of the family. It is reversed on her father's side - The Latino influence is maternal. Lopez is from her father's side of the family.

Thanks. She definitely has her grandmom's beautiful skin color and cheek bones but Sessilee's eyes and fine features, no doubt, come from her dad's side of the family.
