I've read how Shana is mistaken for Cindy. No knock against Cindy Crawford because she's a babe, but Shana is much better looking, IMO.

I remember seeing her Guess ads when I was in elementary school...to me she was hotter than Cindy C., but only because I didn't know who she really was. Glad to see there's a thread here for her, shame we really don't get to see what she's up to now.

I was so passionate about this girl - I first saw her when her Oct 1991 Vogue Italia cover turned up in my town and my best friend lent me the money to buy it. As an impressionable teen, I was blown away by that issue's superglam Raquel Welch homage, and when she got yet another only girl VI cover in December, that was me in love. I collected every cover - the Allure ones were another highlight - and every ad I could get my hands on. She did a lot of editorial work for UK Vogue.

If a model these days was adopted as one of Meisel's faves - as Shana was - got the cover of Vogue Italia three months in a row and appeared throughout magazines elsewhere, both in editorials and major ad campaigns, people wouldn't deny her high fashion status. Maybe it's because our eyes have adjusted these days to accepting models who don't have a tenth of the heat that this girl gave, that we don't think she could have had that status.

And she doesn't conform to the 'babe' template either, she's not some huge-bosomed swimsuit model, she was never a vacant blonde - there's a strange edge to her looks, almost a sort of masculine side to the glamour.

If you're looking for a bland Cindy C clone, then Rosemary Wetzel (I think that was her name) was your girl. She had an even bigger mole, though not as aesthetically placed.

I was her biggest fan in the 90's. I collected everything with her image. Thanks for posting some of these images. Some I haven't seen before.

Please don't compare her to Cindy. Both are completely different.

Thank you Omi!Omg,i heard quite the rumor about Shana!apaprently she was suppose to be in the "Freedom"video by George Micheal!But Linda didn't want her there and tore up her outfit.I would've loved her in it!!But my question is,what do outfits got to do with it?Christy "wore" a sheet and Cindy nothing...
