short hair for women...youthful or mature?

I have short hair I guess that's what suits me the best .I need to refresh my haircut though.

I'm planning on getting Anna Mouglalis's short haircut.

And I really like Kate Moss' haircut for the Coco Mademoiselle campaign.

short hair on women can look so pixie-ish or sophisticated. so pretty. i like the pics that have been posted.

but i think it helps if you have delicate features and a heart-shaped face. with my square jaw, i think i end up looking too boyish for my taste.

Depends on your facial type. If you're an overweight woman who wears tacky clothes from Sears and you get the short haircut you're bound to look like 10,000 other ones. Natalie Portman has been sporting a very short spikey haircut, it looks so hot. But again, unless you have chiseled features (on a female scale, anyway), don't bother. I love long, luscious wavy hair on a cute round or oval face.

PS: Paris Hilton pulled off the short hair look for a while, but it was this wavy mix of short meets long.

No no not yet.... I was going too... I literally dragged myself to the door of hairdresser's and then I chickened out but I'm thinking of getting something quite similar next week, more Kate Moss transition-ish, with a long fringe swishing over half of my face that I can just tuck behind my ears if I get blinded by the hair

i really want to go for short hair but i'm too nervous. i'm only 5ft 2, heart shaped face, big eyes but i think my nose is too big...i dunno. short hair just looks so good on tiny delicate features and my long hair keeps my ears warm

I like short hair too but it seems to make me look more mature. I may do the short hair thing when I'm nearer to say 50
