Are they not engaged, or is there trouble in paradise? (cue dramatic organ music...)

Miller Wins Back Sedgwick Role Following Law Scandal
Actress Sienna Miller has won back her role as pop artist Andy Warhol's muse Edie Sedgwick in forthcoming movie Factory Girl - two months after movie bosses reportedly dumped her from the production in favor of a "bigger role". Earlier this year British newspapers reported Jude Law's fiancee Miller lost the part because she was not famous enough, although the English beauty insisted the film clashed with her role in London play As You Like It. But movie insiders claim Miller's celebrity status has been helped by Law's admission he had an affair with his children's nanny Daisy Wright three months into his seven-month engagement to Miller. The 23-year-old will now play drug-addict Sedgwick in the forthcoming movie, reports British newspaper The Daily Mirror. A movie insider says, "This is not the way Sienna would have liked to have won the role of Edie Sedgwick or a big action role. But she is not going to kick a gift horse. Professionally speaking, being so badly treated by Jude is the best thing that's happened to Sienna. Now she's deemed A-list famous. If you're in the papers you've made the grade and American movie producers want you."![]()
According to the Daily Mirror, Sienna's also won a role in the movie about the Queen of Sparta

the part is Brigid [sp?] Berlin [a/k/a Brigid Polk]
she was a long-time Factory member. featured in 'chelsea girls' {injects herself with speed on camera} and other andy films, and worked at Interview through to andy's 1987 death. [she often transcribed interviews off andy's cassettes] I do not know about gwen's part but in real life brigid was one of andy's longest & closest friends, & employees, and 'superstars.' "the velvet underground live at max's kansas city" is a tape that she recorded sitting down the front.

Months after she won a plum part as tragic Warhol Superstar Edie Sedgwick in George Hickenlooper’s ballyhooed Factory Girl, the bohemian Brit was devastated to learn that she was being relieved of her duties. Producer Richard Galub had originally packaged the movie around Miller, telling friends that the starlet was born to play the speed-addled original “It” girl. But as Law’s star waned in the wake of back-to-back flops, and the couple’s relationship seemed to fizzle, sources say Galub’s ardor for the actress cooled as well. Pressed to explain Miller’s abrupt departure, Holly Wiersma, Galub’s coproducer, cited scheduling problems. “Sienna’s doing As You Like It in London, and there’s a conflict,” she said. “We went back and forth with her, but it didn’t work out.” Despite Miller’s dismissal, however, the flick is still on track, with a “well-known American actress” (whose identity Wiersma declined to disclose) set to replace Miller in the role. “Sienna’s a great girl, but we’ve found someone else who’s going to do a great job too,” Wiersma added brightly. Miller’s publicist confirms that the actress is returning to a theater gig in London but insists that Miller never officially signed on to the Edie movie.
Well, my interest in this movie just went down quite a few notched. I'm sure they'll replace her with someone totally subpar.
