Sienna Miller & Balthazar Getty Affair

I'm not sure what you mean by "speaks volumes"

It just seems as if Getty can't make up his mind about what he wants, sienna or his family and he's changing his mind ever so often.
OR
it might be that getty wants his cake and eat it too. he wants rosetta to be there taking care of the kids and he still wants his fling.

he's not going to file for divorce because it means he would have to pay alimony to rosetta and rosetta is just being a doormat, choosing to forgive and hope for the better.

The fact that neither Getty or Rosetta have filed for divorced after 6 months speaks volumes. .

I know in many places you can only file for divorce after you have been separated for a minimum length of time, maybe this is the reason?

About Thanksgiving....Balthazar is American and most consider it a big holiday, but in some families Christmas is more important.

US 'love rat' Balthazar Getty has spoken about his affair with Sienna Miller for the first time, pleading with press to lay off his lover.
The Brothers & Sisters actor says it is he who should take the blame for his extra-marital affair insisting attacks on his Layer Cake lover are 'unfair'.
But the oil heir declares he is still very much involved with his wife Rosetta, despite spending last week in London with Miller, branding both women very 'special' to him.
'I think Sienna [Miller] might have been [treated unfairly] …' the 33-year-old said.
'It takes two to tango, man. You can't just point your finger at one person.'
'Historically, women always get the short end of the stick….they're [Rosetta and Sienna] both very special people in my life.'
His comments come as Miller endures a barrage of slights over her reputation after cavorting topless with the father of four on an Italian dirty weekend during the summer.
Hounded by the press, the actress successful won damages over intrusive pictures after been harassed by paparazzi following the scandal.
The wall of her London home was also defaced with taunts from angry fans over her latest romance.

Whoa. Maybe he wants to be a bigamist, or have a harem.

^Haha! Maybe Sienna was treated more "unfairly" because she's the more famous one. But i think they're both equally to blame for their behavior.

Plus, if the kids are in Italy at the moment, they wouldn't even be celebrating Thanksgiving since it's not a holiday there. Silly close-minded Americans.

i don't see the need to make sweeping generalisations regarding an entire nationality

as other posters have said, important festivals and moments of traditional family gathering is something that is usually respected by parents for the sake of the kids (at the very least).

these children are very young, wasn't one only 4 months old? Absentee father off consorting with the other woman speeks volumes about Balthazar's familial concern.

goodness, just read his comments on the "2 special women". What an utter douchebag and a user.

hopefully both Sienna and Rosetta tell him to GTFO.

I have to say that I am a little offended by this remark. I happen to be American and when I lived in Spain, My American friends and I celebrated Easter Sunday even though Spain does not celebrate it in the same fashion.

Just because someone is living/staying in a foreign country does not necessarily mean they give up on their own traditions.

^ just to respond to my comment: i am american also. but the close-mindedness we show as a people is obvious. you've got to think about all the aspects of any situation before you judge it.

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up but...

Sienna seemed ( if we are to believe her PR machine) pretty convinced that Getty was in the middle of a divorce from his wife...

Most people on this thread have said that Getty is a notorious dog...

Is it possible that Getty TOLD Sienna he was separated from his wife, but really he wasn't?

I know no one can really answer that but Sienna unless there's public info I'm disregarding. Is there?

^ i see your point here. but he could have said something like that to her only at the beginning.. then i am certain she was faced with all negative press and coverage and she would have understood that he's lying to her actually.. but she still remained by his side. all lovey-dovey. also i think she is not that naive to be fooled into.. she knew perfectly what she was doing. that is my opinion.

i know people who have been sucked into relationships with married men and the story across the board is "he is leaving his wife and sleeps on the couch".

I think if they talked about their relationship sooner at first and where direct about it it could have saved some bad publicity

And weren't he and his wife seen together not that long ago and recently had a child? That changes the dynamics quite a bit.

i saw pics of these two from new year's eve. now i'm totally puzzled with Rosetta and the fact she's doing nothing in divorce sense.

I said this before but in many places couples have to be separated for a minimum length of time before they can legally divorce, so that might be the reason?

also, in the usa, it doesn't happen over night. it's quite a long process..esp if kids are involved. everything like child support etc needs to be on paper and they need to mediate on who gets the house, the couch, the tv etc...and they have to work on it, until they agree. i know someone who has been going through a divorce for over 2 years.

yeah i do understand that but i was referring more on the fact she hasn't released any statement if she in fact is separating from her husband.

on and lostinemotion... TWO YEARS? dear god...

But she isn't famous, is she... so maybe she doesn't feel a need to release a statement?

well then Balthazar would have given a statement since he gave few of them regarding his affair.
