Everything is always MULTI MULTI MULTI. At a certain point, it just becomes painfully obvious that the MULTI trend is a desperate attempt to please everyone, rather than make any particular creative statement.
Plus, I just do not understand his clothes? What's the appeal? It all looks like clothes made from the novelty fabrics found at a textile trade show...
Furthermore, his huge budget for such a new brand rubs me the wrong way. Kudos to him for having the budget, but it just ends up coming off as rather presumptuous and showy to always be doing big shows, booking top models, celebrities and top photographers for campaigns (Bruce Weber, hello?), etc. I'm not saying he should limit himself, necessarily, but I also think this all comes off pretty tactless coming right out of the gate like this, IMO. It wreaks of a hot flash, rather than a slow burn.
He has yet to prove himself, and all this mega marketing comes off as overcompensating. Let the clothes speak for themselves for now.
