I have been seeing this here and there in some mags, and I think I like it, But where do I get it? I don't like cheap polish and Chanel doesn't have it silver.
If any one has any ideas:flower:

I know that MAC sells a gunmetal polish, but I am not sure about a lighter silver.

I use OPI's birthday babe. I wore it on birthday this year actually.:p It's a lighter silver and shimmery.

Since I think this could be a similar topic, what about grey nail polish? I can't seem to find a nice medium matte or or shiny (but no sparkles) grey polish. Not even on line. I saw it in an editorial somewhere though, maybe July's W? I will try to get to Ulta soon to browse. On OPI's website I found some that looked grey in the pic but then they usually turned out to be lilac-y in color. Thanks for any leads.:flower:

Essie has a new silver polish called Loophole. I bought it a month or so ago and I love it.

I also saw one from opi called happy anniversary ( I think) but I wanted other alternatives, and I love the gray polish thing, that would be great for fall

So far I've looked (for grey polish) at MAC and Ulta so that means Essie, OPI, and I dunno, whatever random brands Ulta sells don't make it. I will try to get to Sally Beauty next. Unless someone can give instructions for how to mix your own colors...:innocent: Maybe I will just search the Internets for instructions....

And silver, really it should be pretty easy to find. I've seen it everywhere. Even a lot of drugstore brands make it.

Chanel has a silver holographic nail polish that I like. It's fun and reflects different colors in the sun.

The injustice of American shopping never ends - why must the season's hottest nail color, Chanel Holographic Silver, be sold only in Europe?

Unless you're dating a member of The Horrors, that leaves you with two options: Buy it for far too much money on eBay, or mix it yourself. Here's our recipe...

You'll need: 1 bottle of silver nail polish. Our favorite is Urban Decay's Cult, but Wet 'n Wild is just fine, too. Don't spend a lot of money on this.

1 bottle of black nail polish or one bottle of pale pink, opaque nail polish

1 bottle of Northern Lights Holographic Topcoat, available at beauty supply stores or Shop.com

1 plastic chinese takeout lid

Step one: Pour a small pool of black nail polish or pink nail polish, the size of a pill, onto your plastic lid. You want an opaque base for this polish, otherwise it'll look like glitter and not like metal.

Step two: Dump a teaspoon of the silver nail polish onto the plastic lid. Mix it around with the silver nail polish brush until you get a deep, stainless steel color.

Step three: Paint your nails with the mixture.

Step four: Coat your hands with the holographic topcoat from Northern Lights. This is what will let your nails flicker and change color as they move.

Step five: Point freely at models, starlets, and Karl on the street. Once they see your hands glinting in that special sci-fi way, they'll know you're one of the club.

i almost bought essie's loophole today but i didnt... i hope i dont regret it =\

Don't you think silver nail polish looks bad on pale hands? I have this feeling whenever i apply silver..

I don't think so. I'm not tan and I wear it. I think if you can wear silver jewelry it's the same idea. ANd I did end up making my own grey. I like it. My dad called it "battleship grey".
