Good job I never liked her style anyway, otherwise I'd be even angrier. She looks ridiculous, just like the other celebs who keep ruining their hairstyles.
The thing with Britney's hair was that it appeared that she was pretty depressed and it was a symptom of that - with Solange, she's just doing it as some fashion statement. Her hair is awful now, she looks ridiculous and it isn't as if she has a keen sense of style and pulls it off, she just looks silly.
text from her twitter
“Listen, if I wanted to make a statement, I would have twitpic’d (uploaded pictures). I was simply taking my son to school. Stupid paps took pic. I’ve had my hair cut like this for two weeks. I was NOT inspired by anyone but myself. I have done this twice in my llife. I was 16. I was 18. Did not care about your opinion then. Don’t care now. Don’t need your attention. I am #3 trending topic [on Twitter] before IRAN and some of you can’t even locate it on a map. It’s sad. I just wanted to be free from the bondage that black women sometimes put on themselves with hair. I’m not mad at all of you that have made your opinions know and have sent negative energy my way. I expected this of you.”
She's being quite vocal and defensive if she doesn't care about people's opinions. Fact is, if you do something like shave your hair off, then people are going to talk about it, particularly if you're famous.
Man talk about being pompous! Being before Iraq as a trending topic on Twitter is a huge accomplishment...bottom line is her hair looks bad she would have been better off not commenting on it
^ I would say it was taken out of context, but it's word for word. Perhaps the new hair style is reflecting on her ego. As if to say, "she's more then just her hair, and people will still be interested". And probably more so now.
Yeah, she was above Iran for a little while, now she's dropped back off into oblivion while Iran is still up there in the trending topics. Solange isn't really giving us much to talk about other than her hair (or lack thereof)
