Sonia Rykiel S/S 2014 Paris

there is a new direction that i dig. it's nothing ground breaking, but the clothes are flattering - except this multiple furry long leg animals

I love this whole direction he's taking Rykiel. I am very much impressed with this collection.

wow this is a really interesting collection, every image i want to zoom in it is growing on me more and more :) i totally love all of the prints!

Not really feeling it to be honest. Doesn't scream Sonia Rykiel to me at all.

It's looks very Vuitton SS2011 a collection I still don't like so it's not surprising since this guy comes from LV.

I would never imagine this is Sonia Rykiel's collection, it's fresh and cleaner to me. I love those mid length that still continuously from last season.

Too repetitive with the long fitted skirt silhouette. And very much dislike those fur things. But it's okay. Just not moved much.

It’s a year to the month since Geraldo da Conceição arrived at Sonia Rykiel with the mandate to breath some fresh air into the venerable house. The designer’s beautiful spring collection proved that he’s had no trouble settling in.

He worked Rykiel’s codes with confidence and ample charm, riffing on Twenties silhouettes with many terrific knits. The Lurex tank tops and slim skirts, for example, had just the right amount of placed argyle patterns, with neon ribbon details at their waists and hemlines to accentuate their youthful punch. The chic striped T-shirt and pencil skirt were among the looks that evoked Deauville with au courant ease.

The wovens exuded a similar romance, demonstrated with a voluminous layered suit and a red top with a soft pink skirt, the latter finished off with a powdery blue ribbon-belt loosely tied around the waist.

If the presentation at the gilded Sorbonne space felt more serious than those in the past, da Conceição’s clothes lost none of Rykiel’s signature joie de vivre.

They are a lot of nice dresses, the clothes are flattering , save for those hideous dr seuss furs. Why is the designer dressed like he is a member of the Adams Family.

I miss their colorful collections and smiling models

Yes, Coco Rocha high-fiving and beaming on the runway was sort of a trademark Sonia Rykiel aspect for me. It complimented the girly, fluffy, floral clothes that the brand is famous for.

There's something to this collection, I like the sense of comfort and pleasure the models seem to enjoy wearing the pieces

I like the ease in this collection too. I much prefer this to mess at Chloe.

This pays homage to rykiel with the knits, and very pretty in general, and I actually love the fur things....
