Spastor, S/S 05 Paris

Arturo,

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this :> That's wonderful

i really like this...i agree with cerfas- if women can wear blazers and button downs why can't men wear sheer blousey v necks?

I don't think this is overly feminine. I think men look perfectly fine in it.

Haha, Arturo--I wasn't saying that it was overly feminine, but it definitely takes an unusual approach to menswear. There's something very delicate about it, the materials and the details (and the tailoring of course). And that see thru tight-shorts-with-deep-v-ruched top combination is something you wouldn't see in most menswear collections. I was also referring to the feel of it, like it's really trying to display the body in a way you mostly see in womens wear.

I love it! :woot:  This is usually not my style but there is something about it that appeals to me. Thanks for the photos!

Cerfas, how did you find out about this label? It's really spectacular..

Spanish, right?

I found it one day just browsing on factio-magazine.com ...I got there through doing a search on another brand I liked, and I spent a while peeking around.
And yes, Spanish

Interesting collection. It looks pretty undeniably feminine to me, not just because of the sheer fabrics, but also the emphasis on the waist. I like it, but I'm wondering just who their target customer might be, as it looks quite difficult to sell. I know that if my husband one day decided to dress like this, I'd find it rather disconcerting....not necessarily unpleasant, but...disconcerting

Nah, I think guys could wear it and look perfectly ok. I mean, guys can wear D&G but not this?

I'm really surprised this label is Spanish, because although I have mostly spanish and love spain, I'd pass something like D&G as Spanish rather than this.

I agree that it's feminine - some of it very, like the sheer vest and keks!) - but it is also interesting, adn some of the fabrics look very nice. One or two pieces linked in with some more "normal" items is how must customers would wear it I'd guess, and I think it could sell quite well on that basis in the right kind of store.

Arturo, you should check out the A/W thread as well if you haven't seen it yet. And also Txell Miras, another Spanish designer who isn't DGish at all and probably not what you expect. It's funny how we can and can't know what to expect from designers based on where they're from.

I will. Yes, you're right. But I had a previous stereo type of Spanish fashion which was just broken. :flower:

Thx.

I think the styling is the reason it looks so feminine. They've combined pieces in very feminine ways in a few looks. But I think a "masculine" guy could easily integrate most of these pieces into his wardrobe. Just wear one or two pieces at a time with really rough, masculine pieces. Awesome blend...
