Spray On Permanent Tan

^ Acid, what hormone is it? I cant think of any that have to do with melanin deposits...

MSH... melanocyte stimulating hormone... I should have known that..

Ive read all about this and it is very interesting. Instead of being marketed as a "tanning pill," it will be a prescription sunscreen. anyways, it wont come out till 2007... if everything goes as planned.

To stay more on topic: I'd never get a cheesy tan. I used to be so insecure about being a pale face, but now I rather enjoy being closer to transparent than my friends :p Remember the 20s? Being pale was considered very attractive and important, because it would mean you were rich enough to not have to work out in the sun all day. People would put white powder on their faces paler.

Yes, very true. I cannot wait until the day when pale is "in". I'm so sick of women saying things like "Ew, people without a tan are disgusting". Grow up, I am what I was born with and I have more important things to be doing than laying in tanning beds or spending endless hours applying ST. I wish they would look in the mirror and see how awfully orange they are :yuk:

I am very very pale, and I actually went tanning today. I kind of regret it because I got burnt, and this thread made me appreciate my paleness.

Eeeek! That just sounds frightening. I'm rather fair skinned and I wouldn't have it any other way...although in the past I've been airbrushed and used tanning beds. It just never looked right.

This seems dodgy...

* How do we know it wont make some skins go brown and other go orange?

* What if there was a smudge in the procedure?

* Is there any way in testing your skins reaction colour to the permanent tan before getting it done?

*Will the dye thats used or chemicals cause premature wrinkling?

I think there should be more scientific research on this permanent tan because it is a big gamble... you may end up looking worse after... or better

the day is today! embrace your natural colouring and prove to people how beautiful it can be, just as naturally tanned people can be. pale people stand out so much these days - we're just making things more diverse. ^_^

practically EVERYONE goes for a spray tan here
wether its Fantasy tan, Mystic tan, Jean paul mist on Tan, st stopez airport express tan etc etc
there are enormous variations of the same thing, you can find them on every corner

but fear not...........coming soon is the EPITAN which is a small injection of a hormone that makes your skin tanned for up to 6 months!
when its launched at the end of next year its set not only to help reduce skin cancer but also create billions worldwide through cosmetic use.
and the good thing is it is totally safe, as it is just a help for the natural process which occurs in our body's anyway
think of it like a diabetic person having injections of insilin.....it doesnt damage the body as it is something the body produces anyway

that sounds scary, injections??
