beauty is the eye of the beholder. that said fashion will go to extremes to grab your eyeballs. the concept of 'editorial' by itself is fake. they need to find a pretext to get you to look at the clothes. someone may or may not like one style of photography. I've been following fashion photography for a long while. I can reasonably say that steven meisel is one of the greatest photographers ever. his pictures have such a high level of sophistication in composition that he's miles ahead of the other guys.I just have to say it once: I don't like a single editorial he did for Vogue Italia recently. I can't really explain, and I know he's the one who is supposed to give the magazine a unique character. But his pictures I often find so un-beautiful, almost kind of cheesy… Anybody else here ever though that? Or convince me of the contrary!

Gosh I hate Lexi's bangs- how could Steven do a whole cover shoot spotlighting such a newbie? He hasn't led me astray yet- hopefully I'll take a liking to her / to this editorial at some point. Its clearly lackluster Meisel though- I love him though- at his worst he's still better than everyone else.
