When I saw this Vogue China ed, I immediately longed for the US Vogue Meisel studios shoots. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic, but does anyone have the same feeling, seeing this ed?
 
^two other people had mentioned that in that thread and i agree, i see a Meisel dynamic in these photos definitely. There's something very different in the eyes, though and that's the magic behind Meisel's studio editorials if you ask me.

he's a legendary photographer. he's one of those very private people. wonder how he looks now. any photos?

its amazing to visit a thread with all of his work
and view his best work...I wish i was heavily into fashion
as a child and constantly visited book stores to see his older VI covers
although my mom would have probably thought i was crazy
 
thx j'adorekapusta for the link. he looks the same as he did 20 something years ago when he was in that portfolio clip. he was really funny there (at least to me). is he based in NY?
 
He has a place in New York and one in L.A,don't know if has more.

Yeah Portolio was a riot.WEll,the clip of it:doh:I still want to see the whole thing sooo badly.
