so what's the popular opinion from the fashion flock in paris?

hmm.. how are dior's sales? i thought galliano boosted them, yet i keep hearing negative remarks. has paris always hated him?

alexander mcqueen - out of favour? i've heard only extreme opinions.

i suppose fashion isn't about being loved 100%, it's not possible anyhow. unless you're karl (i never anything bad about chanel.. much)

I thought so too until I saw different angles... then it became bizarre and interesting . I the ghostly ( ) levitation effect or even a sort of "production line" effect in contrast to its uniqueness.

It's oddly glamorous although I don't foresee her floating down many red carpets .

I thought it might be a reaction against the charges of starving models. A kind of cover your body and blimp mode. I agree with the levitation thing. Very interesting. Thanks for providing different angles to look at.

I'm going through the shows and I dare say that Miu Miu had a great, a very wearable very modern and clever collection.

Taking a better look at Armani's work, I can see now why it made it in the top 10.

I liked the Chanel short skirt suits very much. Not too keen on the long skirts or shorts. Not sure what I think of the leather leg warmers...

Armani - very wearable yet monotonous.

I liked the coats by Lang and not too excited about the rest.

I'm not too sure about Hussein Chalayan's inflatable 'water wings' but it is an imaginative collection, though not exactly ready-to-wear. I do see a famous avatar represented!

John Galliano is stunning. Really amazing!!!

I love the coats (not the animal print ones -- too over) and boots by Louis Vuitton. Really well done.

I thought Prada was very hit or miss. Love the gloves though. Oh how I wish gloves and hats were the norm once again. So much scope for creativity!

I'm loving the slim line dresses featured by Rochas. No tutu bits for me or the bulging dresses. This black dress (see below), however, is gorgeous.

Viktor & Rolf was better than I expected, though I'm not sure why I was expecting so little from them. Again, I'm not keen on the giant silhouettes but they offered much more than that.

I did expect more from Tom Ford/YSL and he didn't deliver. It seemed like the same idea over and over.

I can't say more about what Style should have included but I don't think of them as a bleeding edge fashion source so perhaps this suits their audience perfectly. A good topic for discussion. Thanks for starting this![/ot]

I do not quite agree with that list. Armani ,LV and Chanel :? do not deserve a spot on the list :| Rochas is a a borderline case too :?
