Stylists Version of the Same Look

you're welcome guys!.

and kiki, yes!, melanie's version is quite stunning regardless of the condescending lighting, that's probably my favorite interpretation just because it's so easy to build an eccentric look around something that's already very extravagant in itself but she made it seem so elegant and even conventional to the point I can almost imagine someone being confident and graceful enough to wear that at a serious event, looking completely at ease in such a strange design. -_-

I've got a new one for the DOLCE & GABBANA F/W 07.08 GOLD BODYSUIT:

^2008! :woot::heart:
the balenciaga boots will certainly be everywhere.. I can't wait to hate them. :lol:

..I'm pretty thrilled about seeing Prada's full skirt in lemon green, CDG pieces and Chloé's inked blouse starting to pop up in publications.. I found them truly fascinating on the runway and their appearances in magazines so far is also looking very bright to me.. I think I'll start collecting them.

psst, thanks pitoti!.

Yay to everyone keeping this thread alive with amazing contributions :clap:

I admit to disliking these dresses when I saw them presented but I love them in editorials. Something about the 1950s classicism is so alluring - they're such garden party dresses. Most of the edits use them as such - particularly the two celebrity shots which are quite literal in their interpretation but still very attractive. The styling by Enninful in the Vogue Italia spread (using a different version of the dress sans the full skirt) is great with its Klimt overtones and tattoo bodysuit but I also love the styling for Numero done by Patti Wilson - very imaginative. The addition of the helmet and furs take things to another almost combative level.

i really dislike that dolce and gabbana piece. it's too obvious a choice for a sexed-up look (kylie's), not to mention the shot is unimaginative. i prefer lucy ewing's version the best. the setting and context is a wonderful way to tone down the vulgaritysexuality. when i look at caroline in it, the phrase "girl of your dreams" comes to mind. not that it's a bad thing.

I love that Dior piece. And it definitely suits Posh better than Kate.
