Swans

I love bird motifs in general. Swans are positively lovely creatures and are indeed an expression of the ultimate sense of elegance. I also quite adore black birds and cardinals and have seen motifs of them used quite beautifully.

Its strange that I love them as much as I do,yet in real life I have an incredible phobia about them....

They're actually pretty nasty animals in reality. Ironic, isn't it...

They don't bother me until they start hovering around my head....luckily those pigeons were always at my feet walking otherwise I would have been extremely distressed

i have some resident birds that i feed
i'm like a bird restaurant..

clothes with real bird feathers make me uncomfortable,
bird prints are cool.
i have a hawk in flight photo on my 'inspiration board'
love their freedom

plus  i'm so desperately out of topic :order:

I like swans and birds on clothes in general, but the dresses where the neck goes around your shoulders just make it look like you're wearing a dead swan on your neck.

Personally, the closest I would get to wearing swans would be swa..... rovski.

Damn, I couldn't even say it.

Those are pretty cute; I like the jacket. It might be nice to see a Pellat Finet sweater with a swan on the front. I'm sure it would sell.

Not an actual swan, but the white skirt seemed faintly reminicent of them.
Or maybe it's just me...

I think what the designers are shooting for is not the idea of "swans" but the feminine aspect of the animals. Perhaps? ;)

Swans are extremely masculine to me. A swan is elegant which is a masculine trait and also a swan is a bloody vicious little blighter.

Yes. Men naturally have much more elegant bodies than women - we're taller and don't have curves which gives a much more elegant shape. Women's fashions pre-20th century were all voluminous dresses with lots of bulk and body whereas men's fashion was about sleek and streamlined shapes.
