Swedish Clothing

^ Although the collection is the same... the selection in the different stores around the world isn't the same...

yes, but it is never worse. The differences that do exist are because of seasonal or cultural differenses.

I actually bought a garment in USA 6 or so months before it was in-stores in Sweden.

i think the h&m in scandinavia has much more better stuff than the h&ms around the world. more variety and cheaper..stockholm has the best h&m. and the most "trendy". they even have a vintage section. so.....

Which one are you talking about? I haven't seen the vintage section, are you talking about the one at Drottninggatan?

the one in galleria mall.....near t-centralen.. thats the best h&m ive been to so far..

Oh yes! I remember now. I believe Dgatan! Yes it's a good one definitely. I'll be spending some this Thursday.
Have you been to SOLO? I love that store!

if you can find the galleria in slussen (its rather hard to find), ask the sales people in weekdays.. they should know :) its really nearby

I am not Swedish but I live in Stockholm. Swedes are a beautiful people but so boring. They all look the same so once something becomes popular, everyone wears it. Things like Nudie and Cheap Monday jeans and Friis Company handbags are on every second person. I wish they were more individual.

I don't think much of the clothes, apart from the small edgy boutiques and second hand shops in Söder in Stockholm - SoFo rules!

I do like Scandinavian jewellery though - Dyrberg/Kern, Pilgrim, Efva Attling, Hjultkvist, Georg Jensen, SNÖ etc etc. And I love TSM (The Swedish Model) handbags. I have this one which I love.

Wow you Scandinavians aren't big on the fashion patriotism are you!? Well I think that is why you are such nice people -patiotism is just evil :p! All I know about Swedish fashion is that most of the pics posted in this thread are gorgeous and I love my black Whyred skinnies so much it hurts. They are better than any brand I have tried. I also know that J Lindeberg has some lovely pieces not to mention a kick *** advertising campaign with Lewis and Barat. Sass and Bide my foot (ugh!)

As for the Norwegian question to the poster who brought it up: if i lived in Norway, I would be the most unfashionable person every because I couldn't afford to be. I remember I was randomly in a Kookai in Oslo and a top that was the same price as one (already overpriced) one in London, was £20 more expensive. Good heavens.

heh it seems that us scandinavians always put ourselves down.. like nothing good comes from our own country...so modest, but for no reason though

Academy of Art, S.F.

i find it different and wierd to see these swedish styles. I know they are in now and thats just how it is...but might as well get used to it now because i know that it is going to migrate over here to the U.S. by next year. HAH! crazy how it all just disperses and how fashion takes over the world. i love it

My absolute favourite swedish brand is Rodebjer! her clothes are dramatic and beautiful. Rodebjer is a brand that I really hope will be famous outside of Sweden aswell! :)

What a gorgeous handbag :woot:

I went to check j.lindeberg today and now i know what you mean, the siluetes are cute, but quite boring with no interesting details, but I think it has something catchy. I havent seen big logos though, but you can find smth you like, just a price range is quetionable sometimes.

But I bought tina slim fit tapered leg jeans from jl and i actually love them, and these are first skinny/slim jeans that really looked crazy good on me.

Gotta be checking for other your mentioned brands. ;)

good swedish brands,, nakkna, fifth avenue shoe repair, whyred..
