there are some cute pieces in this thread, but i doubt i would wear them as they cover too much skin and prevent your skin from tanning.

there are some nice onepieces at princessetamtam.com

Betsey Johnson makes some adorable 50s vibe suits!! I particularly love this style because its meant to show off your body without revealing too much.

ive always loved that bathing suit Kate Moss is wearing...hard to pull off though

Here are two that I love. First is Salvatore Ferragamo S/S 07, the second, Victoria's Secret (should still be up on the site, about $100).

I've adored this look for several years already but have yet been able to scavenge cute alternatives in stores. :(

I really love the ones with an extra piece of fabric covering the bottom. My swimsuits get ruined too quickly to spend money on a designer one so I've been looking for an inexpensive one, only thing I've been able to find is vintage on ebay. vintage swimsuits gross me out :yuk:

Vintage swimwear CAN be very delicate, you might want to pay extra attention to that when you are shopping for one.

I think it's best to go for a repro or a vintage inspired modern design. There are usually some styles at rockabilly/pinup/burlesque stores and I have seen cute design by some lingerie brands, too.

i am definetely jumping on that high waisted bikini bottom bandwagon!

I love the styling of the vintage swimwear. I will say though that I will never wear one because it's not revealing enough (I require the "two triangles and an hourglass" as anything more will inhibit tanning ability).

Love this new trend! However, I'm afraid of getting weird tan lines from some of the higher-waisted cuts... :P

The tan lines wouldn't be an issue for me, but then again I avoid tanning so this is perfect for me anyway.
