When entering Sephora store one day, little did Tara know that her love for make up will lead to a great new world, after catching the eye of Steeven Jean- Yves Zamor, a scout and the owner of Your Angel Model agency. Today, not even a full year round since Tara has entered the world of “big modeling”, she has already scored a campaign for Issey Miyake, and walked some sterling fashion shows. In a social media world though, she’s quite a veteran. Thanks to her YouTube channel (TaraTV), she has built herself a fan base before even starting out as a model, which led to her popularity on other social media as well. For this model, currently placed with Muse Management (NYC), City Models (Paris), The Fabbrica (Milan), The Hive Management (London) and Le Management (Sweden), future seems very promising.
Here is a bit more of her experience, first hand.
Hi Tara! Let’s look back at the time you were scouted. How did it happen?
Well, I was going to Sephora on the most famous avenue in Paris- Les Champs Elysée, and I was looking around trying to find some new makeup to play with, when Steeven my now agent came to me and asked me if I already thought about doing some modeling. Then he presented me his agency Your Angel Models– at the time there was Melodie Monrose on the Mac campaign and he told me that she was one of his girls. Then we had a meeting with my mom and we signed together.
Is modeling world the way you expected it to be?
No, not really, there is some part of modeling that no one tells you about and you just have to discover it by yourself.
You are getting a great response from New York, do you see yourself moving there for work?
Yes, I see myself living there. It was my dream when I was young and I am thankful to be able to realize it with my job.
How was your recent cooperation with H&M like?
It was exiting, we had a really nice team and it was really chill.
You did a S/S 2016 campaign for Issey Miyake , along with four other models. Are the shootings with multiple girls cast more demanding than solo girl cast?
Yes, because we had to be really coordinated, if one girl was perfect in the shoot other wasn’t, but was really fun to be with other girls, to see how they work and how they react too.
You have a YouTube channel (TaraTV), which has quite a following. What are your future plans regarding it, since you are a model in demand right now?
I have a lot of projects with my channel coming soon hopefully, just waiting to have a place by myself to be able to make some really cool stuff and have a better quality of videos too.
Since that qualifies you as a beauty guru in a way, what are your model beauty and style essentials?
I have a makeup bag that I always carry around, and in it I have my L.A Girl concealer and some brushes in case I have to retouch my make up. I have a face sunscreen from Khiels, an eye cream from E.L.F, and I have my favorite lipstick from ColourPop. And I always have some oil absorbing sheets.
Do you have any particular modeling jobs you are aiming for?
I always loved photography and makeup so if I had to do a job in modeling it would be one of those two. But I have some project concerning those two jobs that I’m thinking of!
