Target Consumer

I wanted to ask for fellow TFSers input on a presentation that I have to do real soon. What target consumer do you think the following brands have:

Versace, Gucci, Marks and Spencer, and American Apparel. I seem to come up blank since I don't wear any of those type of clothing.

Also, what would you consider the consumers lifestyle to be? I sense Gucci is more jet-set and Versace is affluent but the other two I have no clue

American apparel is often times the preffered brand of indie designers who make printed tees. Built by Wendy for example. Also some band's official gear like I know I got a modest mouse t-shirt and it was. So one target customer would be designers who are making an effort for American made (as opposed to out of US made) clothing sources. Some people, of ages 16 + I'd estimate, may go into the store for seperate pieces. Hope that helps.
