isnt the legal age 19 in the states? people caught smoking under that age should be fined the same as under aged drinking.

In the US it's not illegal to smoke cigarettes under the age of 18 it is however illegal to purchase cigarettes if you're under 18. Though there is a stigma about smoking at such a young age.

Um sorry, I did not put enough information there. In NYC it is illegal to smoke under the age of 18 and it's 19 in some counties.

i guess it's more a big deal for her to be seen doing it as she's in the public eye and has a young fanbase, so it's not seen to be setting a good example

yeah, i agree. i know it's quite a normal thing for teenagers. but seeing that she's a young celebrity she's an influence to many people, especially to younger people so i think that she should just watch out and not smoke publicly where the paparazzi's are.

^^ she's probably one of those that's like "I don't give a ****". In California it's illegal to purchase cigs under 18, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to smoke under 18 too but I could be wrong if it does vary from state to state.

does anyone ever actually do something cause a celeb does it? like seeing her smoke doesn't make me want to, seeing people i look up to doing bad things doesn't really influence me to do the same, maybe thats just me but i don't think anyones guna pick up smoking after seeing that...i just think its stupid saying that young celebrities can't make the same mistakes other people their age do because it will be a "bad influence".
