Teach me your language I teach you mine

I agree with sleepingbeauty13 - that is NOT a double negative, and I couldn't care less is more correct than could, because could is only correct if used sarcastically, which lots of people dont know.

In Italian :

1) Hello = Ciao
2) love = amore
3) fashion= modo
4) cool = freddo...hahahhaa... just kidding cool is cool

^ fashion is "modA", and cool can be translated as "figo/fico" or even "mitico", "grande",..."bella lì!" :p,...:D

You are right about not using double negatives, but less is a quantity adverb not a negative adverb. So is not a double negative.
I think both are correct if you are using I could care less in a sarcastic way, like it says in mundodabolsa's post, but I couldn't care less is also correct.

Agreed. It's "I couldn't care less".

^ Of course! ;)

Just let's imagine a scale from 10 to 0:

10 = you care a LOT about smth.
0 = you don't give a damn about it

So, at "0", you can say of course that you "couldn't care less", since the scale doesn't include negative numbers...:p

Thanks Pashen'ka for correcting me:blush: hahaha I'm half Italian and half Lebanese , my Italian is not perfect I'm working on it .

Thanks again! Grazie!;)

What does Pashen'ka mean? Cause it doesn't sound very Italian to me!!! It doesn't sound like an Italian name. Maybe I'm being really dumb and showing my fashion ignorance and everybody knows what it means but me! No, but really, what does it mean? Or what is it?

:pI don't know what Pashen'ka means neither,,, maybe it means nothing... O don't know....

 It's a familiar nick from the russian name Pavel (other versions are Pasha, Pashka, Pash, ...)...it would be "Paulie" in english... ^_^

Oh ok I got it! Russian names are nice and somehow cute. Ok thanks for the info .

Ok i need help and I hope one of you can help me.. What does ridurmi mean in english (from italian)
"ma posso ridurmi sempre all ultimo minuto".. i

^ "Ridurmi" literally means "to reduce me", but what that phrase means is: "Why do I always have to get to the last minute?!" ;)

^thank you!! :flower:

Now i just have to figure out why it was directed at me

there are a lot of similarities between languages, and not just languages that would make sense to be similar

example: pink in dutch=roze

But yep, that's the meaning...a mild self-criticism...;)
