That's interesting! I've never seen any welsh words, just those ultralong names of towns! :shock::)

In many European languages including English the names used to describe months are of latin origin, this is not the case in Czech. The month names in czech have an unusual allegorical meaning. For some months the meaning is clear for others it has been forgotten with time. Each month is also associated with a number of folk prognostics, usually relating to the weather.

Months' names work the same way in old celtic calendar...and after all, Celts - like Latins, and before them - lived all over Europe, and many traces of them can still be found in languages, folklore, traditions, topography, and so on.
I.e., the italian town "Bologna" takes its name after the "Boi", a celtic tribe, originally from Bohemia ;), that moved in that area in 4th century BC.

My town btw also has celtic origins: though the actual town centre was founded by Romans in 59 BC, the area had been inhabited by celtic tribes for centuries. The Latins themselves called the town "Novum Comum" (= New Como), which also shows that there was already a town of Como.
Anyway, "our" tribe (the "Insubri") didn't come from Bohemia...:p
The area including Como & the italian-speaking part of Switzerland can also be called "Insubria" after them...;)

My english teacher knows how to cause he had a welsh girlfriend who taught him or something.. :p :ninja: Scary. I can only pronounce the first 8 letters, then it gets a bit complicated.. :lol:

I just thought.. how do they manage with the road signs? :huh:
