WOW dats kewl...how did ur grandma learn arabic?
tell her MArhaba for me(dats hello):flower:

When she was younger her father gave her a choice of what language she wanted to learn....and since she was fascinated with all things Arabic she decided to take it up (and I must say "wow" shes 87 years old and still rememberes everything). Since I'm originally from Europe, I had the chance to study many diff. languages a bit but never got to Arabic. Sorry but I cant momentarly tell my grandmother hello from you since shes not living in the US (but as soon as I talk to her I will wow her with my "I love Fashion" and "I love You" phrases and throw in a Marhaba  ).

hahahaha, belissima,I totally agree with you!!The most important phrases in a language are these ones!!!completely essencial!!!!hahahahaha:lol:

Yes, as I always say......the word "Fashion" and the phrase "I love You" is essential in any language (thank god the designer and regular peoples names are pronounced the same  ). I've been trying to pick up my essential two phrases in as many languages as I can...who knows someone just might mention fashion in Arabic and then I can say "Valentino, I love you" in arabic back :p

Hi! I was wondering if any of you is Italian or knows this language. Because i'm going to Italy in February and i want to know how to say some phrases and words, so i know what to say when i enter a shop.

This is what i want to know:

- "Can I try this on, please?"
- "How much is this?"
- "Can I have a bigger/smaller size please? " or "I would need a bigger/smaller size, please"
- "Jeans"
- "Skirt"
- "T-shirt"

Also, if anyone speaks spanish too (because i don't know how to say i exactly in english) how do you say the following in italian?:

- "Solo estoy mirando, gracias", esto seria lo q se contestaria cuando el vendedor pregunta "Puedo ayudarla en algo?".

Please!! I really need someone to tell me this! The Italian teacher didn't told me this! (maybe because i just went to 10 lessons.... hehe)
I would really appreciate this! thanks in advance!!

I think i should also add something to the thread, not only ask for help.... so here is my contribution:

- "How much is this?": ¿Cuanto cuesta esto?
- "Can I have a bigger/smaller size please?: ¿Me darías un talle más grande/chico, por favor?
- "I would need a bigger/smaller size, please": Necesitaría un talle más grande/chico, pro favor
- "Jeans": jeans
- "Skirt": pollera
- "T-shirt": remera

I want to add some more:

- Shirt: camisa
- Trousers: pantalon
- Trainers: zapatillas
- Shoes: zapatos

- Glasses: anteojos/lentes/gafas
- Shades: the same as glasses, but adding the following: de sol or ahumados/as
