Teach me your language I teach you mine

Really? My teacher said you can make 'il faut' more personal (like je dois, tu dois, il doit etc.) with using me, lui, nous, vous or leur.. So that 'il me faut' is the same as 'je dois', and 'il lui faut' the same as 'il doit' etc.
Maybe I completely misunderstood him:unsure: :ninja:

Haha, yeah, I know:lol:
your teacher is right : you can say "il me faut faire mes devoirs".
but frenchs rarely say that. it sounds..."soutenue".
truly, i most say what La Bordélique told you...
je dois faire mes devoirs etc.
but je dois faire mes devoirs (i have to do my homeworks) has not really the same meaning than j'ai besoin de faire mes besoins (i need to do my homeworks)... but i doubt your teacher is also a linguistic teacher...^_^

oh and if you want synonimes of personnes, you have gens.
for instance :
je n'aime pas les personnes/gens ici.
I don't like people here.

but pay attention : gens is always in a plural form!! we cannot say "le gen"!! it means nothing! it doesn't exist!

you can say "monde" too. like in
there are so many people here
= il y a tellement de monde ici.

i wanted to tell more things. but honestly, i think you'll give up french after.

Well, you can first answer thw questions with the words that you know. And then maybe I can help you go into depth, or clear up some of the grammatical errors. So post your original responses, and I'd be glad to help. LOL, analyzing literature is my favorite! I loved Comp AP. :)

I think I made something bad, we'll see...but I hate analyzing literarue esp. in English and my teacher seems to like it a lot :ninja:

lol I need help in Italian now!
anyone can help me to translate this:

^ "He's got a warm voice, without any accent, like every editor, and using that nice voice he talked to me for half an hour, saying that he was used to do such talks around once a week...many italians passed by looking for help, "Have you got a job for us, mr. Tarantino?"...many italians, even graduated, but it wasn't the employment office there, they didn't have a job for everybody. And again, the germans were shrinking the funds for all foreigners' programs, even for the Radio Italia's ones, unfortunately, even though its target was a perfectly bilingual audience, that is, a european one..."
