(The mirror on the wall was broken.)

(The medieval walls that surround the Spanish city of [FONT="]Ávila[/FONT] are still in almost perfect condition.)
3. Cuando ellos oían la puerta abre, los estudiantes se levantaron para ver a quién estaba entrando la sala.
(When they heard the door open, the students rose to see who was entering the room.)
4. El taxi nos llevó al aeropuerto y entonces me traje al hogar.
(The taxi took us all to the airport and then brought me back home.)
5. Mi corazón nunca bate más violentamente que ___ momento.
(My heart never beat more violently than at that moment.)
6. La nación se pasmó por la resignación súbita e inesperada del presidente.
