shall we embrace teal for the lovely colour that it is, then? whether it is a shade of blue or a shade of green or a shade all unto itself, teal is hot colour this year ^_^ and may I add that I agree the long teal dress is lovely. thank you rhiannon ^_^

well utopia...
in my mind teal is a sub-section of the BLUE trend...
because teal is difficult to wear for many people...
it seems best on someone with fair skin and lighter hair...

whereas...blue is a colour that pretty much looks good on everyone...
so in my mind...the overall trend is really BLUE....
because ALL SHADES OF BLUE are really trending for fall 05....

imo...:flower:...
but it's not important...
;)

i believe teal looks also very good with light skin and dark hair

All this controversy about teal being either in the green or the blue family, made me look it up on wikipedia-i think the answer will satisfy both sides: " Teal is a bluish-green color, darker than cyan and hence more greenish looking (compare the colours yellow and olive). This color gets its name from the wings of the common teal, a member of the duck family."

Moschino from vogue.co.uk
Does the colour of this skirt qualify as teal?

Teal is a bluish-green color so that mean this color should be in the green family, not in the blue one, right? Anyways , it is absurd to still argue if this thread should be in the blue thread or not. :innocent:

hmmm teal & burned orange, great combo
thanks for posting those moschino looks ank9 :flower:

i was so looking forward to see this in stores
but the mass market 'interpretations' of the designer looks are seriously off

quite dissapointed for what i've found on teal :(

the teal and bronze looks beautiful together, although I'm not sure if it's something I would have thought to put together myself.
I've seen ALOT of teal about the highstreet lately, and alot of people wearing it and it always seems to look just a bit uninspired. I had a teal 'choker' on last night....some teal fabric that I pinned at the side with a small diamante brooch, my nod to the current trend ;)

H&M  's teal. They've used it almost every season for the past five years.

thanks your highness*
i dont shop h&m so i wouldnt know..
i think fff saud it right, since its really all over the place already and in large dose,
teal could be better on accessories only, this necklace would be great with all black

teal goes well with bronze or brown
personally i was paning to match with either skin colour, with bright red or jet black.. its a tiny bit less expected (i think.. maybe not?)

*cute new avatar sir

i would love a teal leather bag:heart:

and i love teal coloured satin it looks devine:crush:

i must say i do love this colour i should really find my teal items and dig them out of my wardrobe!

Blues always go beautifully with shades of browns...so I guess the bronzes and neutrals are spins of that.

Lena I was wearing all black except from the choker ;) must have read my mind. I'd love to see it styled with bright reds...
