tFS mix tape/cd project!

strawberry, of course you can...it can just be songs you love! you'll be ok, i promise ;)

oh gawd this new title sounds great  I don't think I'd be able to work out what I wanna do for it in time.

whats the closing date for this months entries?
What kind of postage does it take...I don't understand the whole mailing system?

you always have a month to get your mix out, so it should be out by the end of november. of course, that deadline is open...if you don't get it out by then, just let us know and we'll tell your person.

if you're mailing a cd, you can often just send it in a squishy envelope..the kind with bubble wrap inside, and if it's thin enough, it will go as a letter instead of a parcel - much, much cheaper, and you don't have to deal with customs. you will have to go to the post though to get the price, because it usually differs with countries/weight etc. it's super easy! promise! play with us fff!

is this like the secret santa, can i join up? sorry if ive got this totally wrong... :flower:

Thanks for the info .fran, :flower:
Ok, I've sent my info the fashionspotmix addy....
I'll be alright with doing the CD, I just hope I can post it alright  Considering it's soundtrack to my life...most of the stuff will probably be heard of and commercial, but I hope the receiver enjoys it none the less...there'll be quite a mix :ninja:

oh i'm so excited fff...i personally don't mind commerical...it will be great i'm sure!

JR1, please read through the first pages of the thread to get an idea of how this project works..it's super easy, and if you want to join, just send an email...you'll see all the information in the first pages. thanks for your interest! :)

my person still has not gotten their mix?! this is insanity..i'm so upset with the post! :(

What a start of a new day! I'm so happy you received it! :buzz: You asked for electronica and so that's what you got. I hope you enjoy Matthew Herbert :p (correct spelling - isn't it fantastic? the chickens and the sharp sounds) That song by Camille is definitely one that goes on repeat here :crush:

P.S. Múm - I'm 9 Today ^_^

Read this. I'm crazy for doing some research but I had to know! :ninja: Oi. I'm vegetarian and my neighbours have chickens which are very cute

Here's the description of where all the sounds from the song come from:

The Truncated Life of a Modern, Industrialised Chicken Field Recordings.

- 30,000 broiler chickens in one barn
- 24,000 one minute old chicks in one room of a commercial hatchery
- 40 free-range chickens in a coop
- One of those chickens being killed for a local farmers' market and its feathers washed and plucked.
- A dozen organic eggs from tescos
- A 2.0l 21 centimeter pyrex classic bowl made in the UK

All melodies and chords are samples of eggs on pyrex bowls and played by Phil Parnell, Dave O'Higgins, Pete Wraight and Matthew Herbert.
All live percussion is made from a dozen organic free-range eggs, egg boxes and egg cups and played with chopsticks by leo taylor.
The bassline is a 'cheep' from a minute-old chick, pitched down.

A la mode, just wondering if you've recieved mine yet.

I haven't got my October one:cry:

apparently my september person hasn't received a mix yet, even though i sent it over a month ago, and i haven't heard from my october person, and i haven't received any for october either. i hope we all get them soon!

Yes those cunning postal workers liked the look of our CDs too much, so decided to snag them all and keep them for themselves :shifty:

No not yet. Hopefully soon though!

I sent out my october mix last week (a little late I know I'm sorry) so it should be arriving to its new home anytime now, it was international so... it might take longer?
