Pandinha -I have already lent your CD out and it is looping its way round my friends. Therefore, I can't post an exact track list but here are some of my faves. I already had quite a few of your songs which means our tastes are really similar!!
Belle And Sebastian: The Boy With The Arab Strab
Funnily enough the one album I don't have even though it is one of their most popular ones! I ADORE B and S because they make really beautiful evocative music that is really really intelligent lyrically. They are sublime
Blur: For Tomorrow
Did you already know that I was a Britpop junkie?!

I didn't have this song though.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: Once Again
Not acquainted with their music but this has to be my favourite track on your mix. Thanks for the discovery!! Something about it reminds me about The Constantines' 'On To You' which is one of my fave songs and I put on far far too many TFS Mix CDs! It is chirpier than The Constantines though. I am going to go and find some random stranger on the street and sing "You look like David Bowie... but you have nothing new to show me"
Israel Kamakawiwo: Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Woah. Woah. At first I didn't even notice he blends 'Somewhere...' with 'What A Wonderful World' but then the song finished with the latter and I was like, 'hang on -why is this called Somewhere Over The Rainbow'. The way it is blended is sublime and seamless. And he has a beautiful voice. Who is he? You know how at the beginning he dedicates the song to 'Gaby'? Well, for 5 minutes and 10 seconds, I was Gaby.
The Kills: At The Back Of The Shell
Just a really fun song for posing in front of the mirror to!
New Order: Age Of Consent/ Love Vigilantes
I have the album 'Waiting For The Sirens' Call' which is an awesome album but I have never got round to exploring their other stuff (other than the Blade soundtrack of course

) These two awesome songs have encouraged me to make more of an effort.
Razorlight: Somewhere Else
I don't love Razorlight as a band as much as I once used to, but my love of Johnny Borrell's voice is undiminished. It is really... I don't know if trustworthy is the right word but it will do if you interpret it to mean strong and assured. I hope they hold it in there because they aren't some crummy post Libertines cast off. I want them to go from glorious fun summer anthems like this to 'Somewhere Else' with a greater degree of lyrical ingenuity.
Simon And Garfunkel: Salisbury Hill
Again, a duo I am familiar with without having this song. I love their music but my vocal preference is for gruff, testosterone ridden vocals. Which is perhaps why I love Bruce Springsteen so much. It is similar with the Beatles. Great great pop songs but that tinny Abbey Road (I live round the corner and I want to tell all those idiotic tourists to stop running in front of traffic on the Zebra crossing and standing there for half an hour whilst their equally incompetant accomplices fail to take a picture. Honestly someone is going to get run over. And damn right. Sorry. Had to vent because I was waiting for the bus for a really long time yesterday and had to watch them.) sound is soo... 60s. Which is very summery. So I am going to listen to this ALL summer. Which is ON ITS WAY!
The Velvet Underground: Waiting For The Man
Ok I have a difficult relationship with the Velvets -not Lou Reed, we are good! -but there are some songs I HATE. Like what the hell is 'The Gift' on White Light/White Heat? I just want that guy to shut up! I think I have a problem with experimental music which is why I really dont like Pink Floyd much (yeah what are you looking at??? So I don't like Pink Floyd? It took me a while to realise

) Experimental music is like Fusion food in my book. It just doesn't work and why would you opt for that when you could just have home grown comfort food like hot hot Georgian soup and cheese bread or Jewish cholent or Indian curry? I mean nobody yelled creme brulee in a revolution did they? No. They yelled 'BREAD'. Ok what am I on about. To get back to the point. This is not one of the annoying Velvet Underground songs. It is one of the fun ones.
