Saw a price for the LV booties in a magazine--believe it was $1002. Just over $1K, whatever it was ...

Well, LV shoes are always really expensive, yes? So, the name, the exotic skin (what is that--eel??), the boot (though a very short one) ... hell, I was thinking for LV it was a bargain I will not be indulging, however ... they just remind me far too much of Mom's old galoshes

What does tempt me are the MJ oxfords ... only problem there is (and with MiuMiu too), I have yet to see a colorway that works with my wardrobe. All these tans, navys, and whatnot, and I haven't worn those colors in years & years The heel also looks like something I should try on. I'm assuming Barney's will have these ... I've seen they will have at least some of the MiuMius I'm interested in ...

PS Saw some dark red ones I thought might have been eel, pic too small to get a really good look, but these grey ones, definitely not ... what is that, sea turtle??? (Endangered here ...)

That explains it if it's an exotic skin. I thought it was just regular stamped leather. The price seems high even for LV.

The MJs you are talking about are very nice! I love the pattern on them and the cylendrical heel. The only thing that throughs me off is the square toe but its hard to tell in pictures how squared off it actually is.

Well, I think it is ... I haven't seen a description telling me that for sure. I'm also making the assumption that the pair I saw & this one are the same, which they're probably not ... (same style, def different color, quite probably different leather)

The MJ toe doesn't look extreme to me ... here's another pic:
