England!!!!...more then happy with our group, poor South Africa don't see them going very far in that group.

The most promissing group so far is group E, because Japan, Cote D'Ivore and Netherlands have really good player, I dont know about Denmark, but the comments are that they always give up a good fight.
I'm really happy that Germany isnt in a very hard group!

i dunno... France is very weak this year, it could be worse... Like korean DPR with Brasil, Portugal and Côte d'Ivoire.

Most South Africans don't expect us to get very far; we know how badly the team have been playing, it is just such an honour to be the first African nation to host the World Cup on African soil. It will just be one huge party!! :D

Personally I am cheering for Ghana, Germany & Côte d'Ivoire.
The Black Stars have been playing very well lately, and Les Éléphants are a strong African team, so should be great!

Oooh and ouch! What a group G! Will be interesting to see how those games go.

in my opinion, France shouldnt be in World Cup, not that I have something against them, I'm always been a fan of them, but It was not fair how they qualified and I feel so sorry for Ireland, they really did deserve it :(.

Definitely... I was so angry when i saw it... It was just like: Okay... Even in volleyball what you did is a fault, dude.
At least france can always count on Henry.

Still, i'm of course cheering Switzerland, Germany and Côte d'Ivoire.

I know. It was FIFA's fault all the way, they should at least put Ireland as a plus country, as it was rumoured some days ago, its just unfair.

Germany of course, all the way girl B)

you know, at least if the player had something as a punishment. I really don't think it's fair that he gets along with that. he shouldn't play the world cup.

and yes, Germany, of course! Who doesn't cheer for them? :p

I actually think that the fact that France has more hystorical fact than Ireland could mean something, maybe favouritism or just that they want to increase the ratings, because France is a much much popular team(which I find incredibly stupid, you know, the World Cup can have a lot of random countries and it would still be watched by the whole world, that why it's the biggest sport event)

a lot of people dont cheer for Germany, believe me -_-

Cote D'ivoire  we have the most difficult draw. But if we are at our best. I think we can beat Portugual.
France and England have no excuse to not make it past the 1st round, but overall France will not get far IMO *cheaters cough*

I think the tournement is wide open and the team with the less injured key players has a good chance.

VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!!

we barely qualified, but hopefully team B should be an easy test for us.
let's see how far we get with Maradona at the helm...QUIT ALREADY

I think this time around Spain will take the honors.
In my opinion they have the strongest team in the tournament. not only the starting 11, but the bench is sick too. they eased through the European championship and they will continue on the World Cup

that is, unless they face the USA along the way.

Man this will be interesting, excited just thinking about it, BRING IT!!!

I have to say, and not to be mean, but i hope France gets their karma and they dont go to far. I think Spain, obviously Brazil, and imho Argentina all have major chances to win next year, but the beauty of this sport is that anything can happen, and that its not predictable.

I do have to say that England did seemingly got lucky with the draw, but as always the press in the country is soo disgusting, and stupid. Like Fabio said, no one should be underestimated. That front page of The Sun is so pathetic!!!

so sad not to see Turkey and Russia qualify.:( they made Euro 08 the very best.
since i always root for the dark horses;Cote D'ivoire,Ghana and Paraguay hopefully get far.
Germany and Brazil for the Final. with Brazil winning 2-1

did i just jinx them?:ninja:

Germany and Brazil for the Final. with Brazil winning 2-1
yeah, but Germany wins at the end :innocent:!
My thoughts for the finale are actually, the same as 1 year ago in the European Championship, Spain and Germany. Those are like the strongest selections, especially Spain.

ORANJE!! I'm so excited. Not just for the football because whenever the tournament is starting, we play great but to see how the Oranje Army takes over in South Africa :D If there is one supportersgroup that knows how to make it a big festival, it's us.

I like the draw, though I would have wanted us to start against Portugal. The 2006-match is in need for revenge.

Kaká, Xabi Alonso, Michael Ballack and Frank Lampard test The World Cup Official Ball Jabulani

I have my calendar marked for June 12th - England v USA!!!! I'm kind of torn as to who to root for - I've always been a fan of England but I live in the USA (and the Philippines doesn't have a team :p)....I guess I can just hope for a good match!
