Thanks to Dior Couture1245, I cut out some magazines and used it to make things. I made a puzzle gift box out of some Neiman Marcus ads. I'll just add a silk or lace bow on top when it's time to use it for a gift. My desk is starting to pile on with crafts

I totally agree, wrapping, cards, etc is as important as the gift itself.
I made my own invitations for my 21st earlier this year? Does that count?

^^Those look great! Especially the first, graffiti one.....I love making them, they're not hard to make, and look so amazing! They really personalize a gift. What's also great, for your fashion loving friends, is to use their favorite designer's ads for the envelope. A couple of my friends love Marc Jacobs, so I make them Marc envelopes! They love them!

^ LOVE them! Like the dolce and the chanel one especially. I'm about to write to my bestguy friend in nyc. I'm going to use probably the YSL ads with the Eiffel in the background...he loves those.

i'm just a fan of all this. i save interesting paper and strings, ribbons, laces and love to wrap presents and draw on them. i seem to work out little themes during xmas. last year i had some very thick gold cord with wire inside that i could sculpt into quirky flowing shapes off the side of presents. and i make my own cards. but they are often quite goofy.

^ When it came to Christmas I went over to my aunts house to ask her if she wanted me to help her wrap presents.



So I got bored and had some left over paper so I made a triangle gift box out of 3 thick origami printed paper and 3 plain origami paper for a bottom.

I wish my camera didn't break. My cellphone cant capture the pretty texture of the paper.

Sephora!! what talent, gal! how did you manage to interfold the paper this way? wow..you are so very talented!!

This month's issue of Aus. Vogue has all these gift wrapping ideas and all the papers and ribbons and all are so pretty... I need to get me to a paper shop! I have a tonne of ideas for cards and such for the upcoming festive season...

Another wrapping fiend here...

Recently I've been using magazines to kind of decoupage gift boxes...

But a while ago I got some small, wooden animals, and I also had a flat, square gift. So I wrapped it in a plain paper, then got two different colors of crepe paper and wove them across the package to create a checkerboard effect. I placed the animals on top...like a weird chess set.

It looked better than it sounds
