i am a big fan and just bought the new album....anyone else like them here?

i went to see them when they had their first album out...
i have that one...
really good...
but haven't got anything since...

*i don't know if they even release albums in the US anymore...

:ermm:...

so it's good?...

I haven't listened to it yet...I'd love to see them live. They never come here though. Its always very melancholy...which I like in music. It cuts you to the core.

I got their first two albums. I'm looking forward to the new one as well. I heard it's a bit Goldfrapp-ish tho? Is it Helena?
If it is...I might skip it...... just coz I'm sick of the whole Goldfrapp rip-off thing.

the cardigans were around long before goldfrapp susie.....

:innocent: Love me, love me... say that you love me :innocent:

Those Cardigans?? I'm not familiar with much of their other music, but I LOVE that song :woot:

you'll have to give us a review then helena once you have listened to it...

^_^...

they were really good live btw...:flower:
not so melancholy...maybe just 'moody'...

:p

*yep...that's the album i have and when i went to see them curious...

i have 2 albums of theirs, first band on the moon, gran turismo.
nina persson has a killer voice... terribly cute! she's really pretty too :)
their new stuff doesn't appeal me as much as their firsts... because they're not as rock/bubble pop.

yes I'll review it softgrey

curious yes the same ones.....

eletricringo - yes I really liked gran turismo...moving away from the poppy stuff ..te last album, Long Gone before Daylight was really melancholy and gave me shivers.

^Yeah, I kno they were around way before. It just seems like a lot of established acts seem to be jumping on a bandwagon and producing a synthed up Goldfrapp-style sound. I do wonder whether it's the direction that music producers are veering towards. I think I read a review in the Guardian that said something about The Cardigans sounding this way.

I preferred Long Gone Daylight to Gran Turismo.......much darker and in some parts even haunting.

ai ya !
i adore the cardigans !
esp. 'my favourite game' :mowhawk:
hope to get the new album soon !

so i guess i should be looking for some of their other stuff then?...

i trust you guys if you say it's good....

:flower:

According to the credits of Romeo + Juliet, their music is featured in the film somewhere.

^ Yep :) That's the CD I have with their music. Their song is called 'LoveFool'. That's the lyric I was "singing" above ;)

And just for a bit of a laugh... if you look up LoveFool on cdnow.com, it lists the artist as "Casual Sweaters"

I love gran tourismo. It was suprisingly unannoying. =P Because lovefool got on my nerves something fierce.

I didn't know they had another album. More haunting?! :woot:

I liked what they released before 2003. I used to have a tape (haha, ghetto) of Gran turismo. It rocked.

My fave song was "Erase/Rewind"

Aw, the Cardigans. Love me, love me, say that you love me... Sorry. But it reminds me of high school. And that song was on the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack. Miss the mid 90's. ;)
