The Day Before : Behind the Scenes Documentaries by Loic Prigent

I only watched Fendi T_T. And I thought "I better download this because I'm sure it'll be taken down." Right when I was about to do so, they were gone T_T.

adding my 2 cents, Fendi was my favourite as well! So much warmth and personality behind what is usually seen as such a grand and rather austere house

Attn French tFSers: The Day Before will be available in dvd on feb 3rd, according to vogue.fr

^ oh em givenchy, lucky! :( I wish it were available here in the States. Ugh, America sucks.

I wonder if that DVD will still have the option to have English subtitles? I would imagine so...

Anyone have a link to it? I didn't see it on Amazon.fr, and I'm rather tempted to buy it...

More than anything, I loved how the documentaries captured the work that goes into these pieces, esp. in the Gaultier show. I mean, the scene that shoes the woman crocheting the entire coat-dress from little tiles of crocodile: absolutely amazing!

ATTN French (and maybe German) TFSers: TDB started airing yesterday on Arte with the FENDI episode; thursday next week is JPG, the week after is Sonia Rykiel's episode; and the last one (feb 4th I think) is dedicated to Proenza Schouler :flower:

Also, it's now out on DVD, it looks like. Very possibly will be ordering it...

^indeed it's out in DVD on arte website ...

About 25 euros, for those interested ...

The Day Before Series is Back !

Sundance Channel’s series The Day Before is back and will premiere on Wednesday, September 8, at 10 p.m.! This year, The Day Before covers the dramatic 36 hours leading up to the unveiling of the fall 2010 collections by Alexander Wang, Diane von Furstenberg, Jeremy Scott, and Narciso Rodriguez in New York, Peter Copping for Nina Ricci in Paris, and Donatella Versace for Versace in Milan.

Director Loic Prigent says, “It’s been great to do a second season with a very different mix of designers. We explored the energy of New York with young labels like Alexander Wang, grandes dames like Diane von Furstenberg, energy and humor with Jeremy Scott, and couturelike precision with Narciso Rodriguez. In Paris, you see the sweetness and romanticism of Nina Ricci, and the extreme everything of Donatella Versace in Milan. All those houses are very different, which has made it such a crazy experience.”

“For me, it was a real surprise and pleasure to see how playful the houses were. We are still amazed by the access and the trust we get from such incredible names in the fashion world,” adds producer Fabien Constant.

I can just hope somebody records it and posts on rapidshare, dailymotion and youtube (basically everywhere) and I manage to save it this time. Because I've seen only Fendi and bit Gaultier and it got lost somewhere on my hard drive.

Does anyone know where I can find the Proenza episodes online or if anyone has it sitting on their hard drive? I would buy the DVD but, I have no interest in the other episodes.....

Thanks for any help.

if anyone has the sundance channel here is the schedule for the new season! they posted it on twitter:
