The Essential Chanel Jacket ?

what a funny article and so true...nothing brings out the impish nature in a woman like a steal

Bah, humbug...Zara...humbug...you can guess my thoughts, Kit... :innocent:

I bought this Zara tweed jacket, which is gorge.. I belive tweed is so Chanel (duh), and when I wear it it screams chanel chanel chanel

A lot of people ask me if its real, cause I always wear it with this vintage CC broche that I bought for 100 dollars, and it gives the jacket a real look  ..but no looking at the tags :ninja:

One of my mother's friends was once cleaning out her closet and was "donating" clothing. I became the proud owner of a lemon yellow short tweed Chanel jacket. It's one of those things that sits in my closet that I take out once in a while to look at and try on and it goes straight back in there. I know HOW to wear it, but no idea where to wear it to.

Great article!
So true ...and from the ones mentioned ...my fave look was Nicole's :P

i find that style jacket...be it chanel or any other brand...a bit dowdy for me... i'd probably wear one if i was meeting the queen...but that's not very likely to happen anytime soon... :P

To Rasputin, of course! :punk:

I thought I'd never say this, but I like the jacket that's being advertised for the current season, black, unfinished, and discreet buttons.

I have to say though, I have not seen anyone do tweed better than Junya Watanabe (even though it was a nod to Chanel). :ninja:

n. A suspiciously chic tweed jacket that looks like a Chanel, but on closer inspection is actually made by another, less expensive brand.

:innocent:

 @ Fauxnel!!!

I love tweed... but I'm still searching for the perfect one. Chanel or not, I'll find it eventually.

I like some of the Chanel-style jackets. I do NOT like the ones with the piping around the neck and fronts. I do like the ones that are kind of boxy, but are shaped with princess seaming and have a cropped waistline and a high, notched collar.

I am a large fan of tweed, cut in various styles.

I have always hated Chanel and Chanel-style costume jewelry, however, especially the chain necklaces.

The article is so true
Furthermore I advise you the site of chanel (chanel.com) with the event : Vanessa Paradis for the line CAMBON
