Thanks for the response. :flower: It's similar to my natural shape so there should be no problem.

ugh i have a problem with short eyebrows as well! it's so frustrating..i have thick, full eyebrows, but at the ends they are very, very sparse. i've been filling them in with pencil, but i wish they would just grow in normally! :(

i have quite light blonde hair, but im naturally brunette, so obviously i have quite dark eyebrows, i keep them trimmed and in shape but id like to make them look more kind of shaped with out making them any darker, ive tried using lighter pencils and powders but it just look silly are there any other products thatll help?

fashionjunkiexx, imo I think blond hair looks great with dark eyebrows (see marilyn monroe, scarlett johanson, kate moss...), I used to have blonde hair and sometimes i would bleach my eyebrows, but it looks bad when the dark hair is growing back, and I can't think of any products that would please me. So, sticking to your natural brows is just lovely.

and, guys, i have close-set eyes, i read that for these type of eyes you should pluck the hair between the eyebrows just slightly more than the regular eyes set. Is that for real?
I do think their natural shape is amazing, but if I keep that way I feel my eyes look even closer to each other. what should I do? :/

I do this every day; I like my brows on the lighter side but I still fill them in. I think you just didn't pick the right shade? I use a matte ash-brown eyeshadow and a very thin angled brush. I kind of combine a dark colour with a light one so that I can shade. It turns out like my natural brow colour; no darker. If you can't make that work then maybe you'd just be happier lightening your eyebrows. I've done that in the past too and it works really nicely once you get the hang of it. :flower:

i think im better off going to the salon if i lighten them, i can just imagain how wrong it could go.
maybe are there any kind of gel type things that would make them appear a little bit lighter?

What I've done is bleach them out at home (I used Jolen bleach) the night before I'm getting my hair done, and then at the saloln get them ashened and darkened slightly from there. With bleach you end up with a bit of a golden tint, unless you bleach them white. But if your hair is quite golden then your eyebrows would probably look good if you lighten them yourself.

^Were they overtweezed or something? Because I was going to come here to ask how long it takes for eyebrow hairs to grow back and I read that you've been waiting for years. D:

I made my arch too high on my right eyebrow and I didn't realize how stupid it looked until I saw pictures of myself. Uggggggh. Maybe I really should start filling them in or something.

Well it usually takes about 7-8 weeks, however from exprience the originally shape doesn't always reappear. >.< I had a horrible exprience letting my friend wax my 'catipillars'...or Ferdy's bushy-*** eyebrows...isn't she lovely?:lol: she basically ruined the top of right one...and it was horrible...(I got bangs)...I was letting them grow naturally and it was taking foreVER...until my mother suggest hair growth the kind my grandad puts on his bald head...it grew back in about four weeks...now I lovvvveee my shape and will never mess with it again, although I'm told they'd look better if I actually let some pro do it, but nah...I'll keep the extra money id have to spend a month on them. B)

this is when the brows where horribly ruined...:ninja:

I usually lighten my eyebrows and fill them in with a dark ashy blonde eyebrow gel/liner stick -- but I can't find the jolen bleach creme I usually use anywhere! I went to target, walmart, etc. etc. but it's just not there. I don't know whats up with that, honestly. Anyway, now that I lightened my hair to blonde for summer, I have light hair + dark eyebrows. It looks very Billie Piper, lol. But in some ways I kind of like it? :ninja:

^ i've always thought that dark eyebrows can look good with light hair, it works well for a lot of celebrities!
i've just bought ardell lash and brow growth accelerator online - hoping it will have some sort of effect on my sparse eyebrows. has anyone used it before?

I wanted to get that but no pharmacy here actually has it even though they have other ardell stuff in the actual store. I don't like buying stuff online. I would especially like it now because a little area of my left eyebrow is especially sparse now. It almost looks like I have a square shaped bald spot. :(

It depends on the level of contrast. Black brows with light hair doesn't work, but then neither does overly light brows. I've seen some natural blondes that have very light colored brows and it looks like they have none at all; they have to color or tint them slightly.

I'd say a few shades darker than the hair color would be fine. Just enough to give some definition without being overpowering or distracting.

^ Agreed. My hair is dark to medium blonde, not platinum, and my eyebrows are dark brown instead of black, so the contrast isn't too noticable. It's kind of similar to Sienna Miller's (whose eyebrows I like). Plus I have brown eyes so I think it works out alright.

Im trying to grow my eyebrow hair out...its so hard because they grow in such random places and unevenly...It will take awhile for my brows to get back to a cleaner shape but it will be worth it!

I believe eyebrows need to be about two shades darker than your haircolor, they keep the focus on your eyes

has anyone tried LiBrow? i have tried ardell and castor oil to no avail, so considering getting it except the price is making me squeal. i'm longing for thicker brows though, and the majority of reviews online point to success

^I haven't used Librow but I have been using Talika's eyebrow lipocils for half a month now. So far it's been looking good. Have to wait another half a month before I know for sure tho!

But I have seen photos of Librow and Lilash before/afters and they look amazing!!!

I've been trying to get my eyebrows to grow back for years after plucking them horribly when I was younger. I look at pics now and think "what was I thinking?!?". I still fill them in a little and darken them but most of the shape is back thanks to latisse. It's the most amazing thing ever

I was just reading up on LiBrow. I was so excited about it until I read about the "botanical tinter". My brows are way too dark as it is and I am planning on lightening them. Really too bad... :(

Can't edit. I was just gonna say that I am really considering Latisse for my eyebrows...I've avoided it because it's so pricey but my eyebrows are very important to me and I'm not happy with the way they are now.
