I love that, I just-woke-up-and-threw-this-on, easygoing lived in look. (not the mary-kate olsen hobo look. Something more relaxed) But I'm wondering how I can pull it off without looking trashy or slobby?

Think like... no accessories, as few different pieces as possible. Have the interest be in the main garments.

A white or black, thin fabric, loose tshirt. With dark slouchy jeans? Or sweatpants and an oversized vneck jumper (not very thick knit)? And not too many accesories. Maybe a belt, worn low on hips to make it 'slouchy'

But instead of the shorts and boots, jeans instead? If you want the look to be neater than Siennas. Hope this helps anyway

I would say do what is implyed, just wake up and throw stuff on. my favorite outfits are always the ones i don't think about too much and just pick out by what i'm feeling that day

wow i kind of practise this look everyday
for me i wear my american apparel t shirts alot..they are just simple v necked t shirts that i have in grey, white and black..i wear them with jeans, skirts, black trousers and shorts. i have birkenstocks that go well with everything.
just casual stuff :) i love it
i hope this relates to your question!

IMHO the best way to practice this look is too give it no thort and just throw something on .. rather then actually thinking about it .. i think it looks silly when people try and look casual it just ends up looking to try hardish etc. just my 2pences anyways :) :flower:
