I'm a big fan of his designs but these past few seasons, his collection would always include a dress or even dresses that falls/fall into "hideous" category. I think that he just 'buried' Coco. Because honestly, IMHO, Coco Chanel is now respected because of Lagerfeld - she was totally destroyed and although she was revolutionary back in her time, after the WW2 she was socially and fashion-wise dead. And now it seems he broke free from what Coco did and he's a bit crazier than before, not so stand-offish and boring, as Coco used to be. And I like it - the Resort 2013 is one of the best Chanel collections I've seen so far.
