Are people just extremely lazy and uncreative or what, when you have a show take advantage of it and make more looks it is more to look at more to sell. And I cant see why designers are constantly ripping off other designers.

Like I said in the Michael Kors thread, I think that Balenciaga comparison is unfair. Those Balenciaga dresses aren't creative. Don't get me wrong, I loved them, still do, but they're hardly original. The only thing Ghesquiere did was bring back thigh high slits after years of them being out of fashion. It doesn't make the dress original, it doesn't make Ghesquiere a genius, it just means his timing is impeccable.

That's the look in the air now, it feels right and suits a mood, hence why Kors and so many other designers have and will pick up on it. But I think saying Kors copied Balenciaga is giving Ghesquiere too much credit, especially since those Balenciaga dresses are very, very similar to things that both Gianni Versace and Thierry Mugler were doing about 10 years ago.
