I think it's a great comparison
They are so alike but structurally so different

Leger's is made from jersey, it stretches.. It requires a different clothing pattern compared to Ricci's. Also the metallic band going across the chest needs to allow for stretch from the jersey or it may pucker or break apart..
Ricci's silhouette-wise is boxy and the neck design needs extra structure on the inside to hold the shape in place, where Leger's can just stretch to form a strap

I think Leger's is much more complicated to make

Gaultier is (in)famous for recycling his ideas. I still love him anyway because his concepts are always interesting and clothes suit them well -even though we've seen those before. and also I sort of regard them as Gaultier developing his 'signature' looks.

I highly doubt Saab could "copy" a dress by Dolce within days of their showings, if that's the implication.

I was just looking at the 03 Miu Miu shoes and saw this dress which reminded me of this Marc dress I tried on at Selfridges. We all know that Marc loves Miuccia.

I don't know, aside from the bra on the Miu Miu, those look similar. To be fair it's a relatively simple idea to begin with so great minds might have thought alike.

Sure they look alike, they're both baby doll dresses in white(ish) cotton. But to subtly imply that Marc took inspiration from the Miu Miu just seems kind of silly to me.

To me it looks like a simple cute babydoll dress. I'm sure you can find tons of similar dresses in any store in town.
