Those are indeed Dior Homme. The first couple look like Luster based on the stage (F/W 2003-04), but I'm pretty sure the last shot is from VotC (A/W 04-05).

Going on the basis of creativity, lighting, originality, theatricality and what not, my choices are....

John Galliano f/w 98 where he turned his runway into a pre wwII era Berlin speakeasy.

Alexander McQueen s/s 98, the "Golden Shower" collection (btw, that was actually what he titled the collection...he's so naughty :ninja: )

And Gucci f/w 03, spotlights, mirrors and white rose petals made a beautifully odd combination.

My pick for best runway show would probably have to be the "Red/Boys Don't Cry" collection from Dior Homme (S/S 02). The clothes were very stark, sharp and minimalist yet with a poetic quality (as seen in the blood wound shirts and razor slim black suits with fluid trousers), there was a well defined theme and the stage was a good representation of that as the red background made it seem like a futuristic hallway, something I'd expect to see at a uber-hip lounge on Mars if humans ever colonized there. I think someone from the MSN group put it perfectly with the phrase "futuristic ennui."

Alexander McQueen S/S 01 "VOSS2001"

Genius asylum, a mirrored room and a woman on a ventilator...Pure McQueen...

Though it wasn't one of my favorite McQueen collections as far as clothing goes (with the exception of that black and red glass/feather dress) the presentation was absolutely brilliant....in that trademark macabre McQueen way of course.

I loved McQueen's SS 2003 show

I wish I could find a picture of the background.. it was a big movie screen tellign a story of a woman drowning and her rescuer getting tangled in her McQueen Dress

Beautiful show! I loved the clothes and setting.. it was absolutey amazing.

AAAAHHHHH HOW SHORT ARE OUR MEMORIES,
The greatest fashion show i ever saw? ill never forget it because it completely changed the way i look at design and fashion presentation. it was the Hussien Chalayan show where Natalia wore the coffee table as a skirt for the finale. in my opinion that was probably the greatest fashion moment in modern history, as after she left the room having the audience in awe, there was nothing left to look at...........
i tried findsing images but i couldnt, if anyone can find it , it would be nice to post some images

I agree. It was quite obvious that a big chunk of the budget went into the set, the clothes for the most part sucked.

McQueen used the same set at least twice after, so money well spent.

The Alexander McQueen shows are always a spectacle.

I love Raf Simons simple way of presenting as well.

I love all of McQueens!!

The only video I've seen is the chessboard one, photos of the otheres... I'd love to see the dance one!!

I love the Galliano 98s!! Where can I find past shows? (style.com only goes to like 2000)
