Today I walked away from two STUNNING Jean Paul Gaultier sweaters. Sad, but at the same time good, because I am being disciplined as far as having a budget. I'll get them if they'll still be there by the time my birthday comes.

Maybe it's time to start an anti-shopaholic thread?

I wish I was as strong as you.
Maybe it's time for me to follow an anti-shopaholic training program (do they do that at the Betty Ford clinic?) :ninja:

my Friday super-bargain impulse-buying spree. 4 mod, mod, mod 1960s dresses for $2 each. I adore junk shops! Vintage clothing is usually the cheapest thing in the joint.

did some shopping today for going back to uni... :innocent:

- petal pink v-neck sweater from french connection
- white italian leather shoulder satchel bag with black stitching
- pretty sage green tee with 3/4 ruched sleeves that tie at the elbow
- loads of new underwear
- adorable black silk georgette babydoll dress from maxstudio (originally $298, but it was already on summer clearance and has a teensy tear at the zip that is easily fixable, so it was marked down to $15 )

utopia that slip dress is darling! What a find, and what a deal. Don't you just love surprises like that?

I saw similar shoes to these in the moschino boutique, same design but they were peep toe pumps with a slightly higher heel. They were quite comfortable although they were 140 KD  ... what the hell that's a lot considering we have no tax here! ... that's approx. $475 . . . and the one in the pic is being sold for less than 300 at saks. Hopefully, I'll get them when they go on sale :ninja:

:o :hardhead:

Non practically, Montreal has the most incredible shopping I've seen, row upon row of endless stores and underground malls. I'm pretty poor to begin with, so I bought a turquoise woolen knitted cap, just the cute, preparing for fall thing. Also, a belt with a pink bow, for $5.
My most major purchase was probably the biggest of my life so far. I went out looking for a girly, furry possibly pink fall jacket. And- I walked out with a black leather motorcycle jacket. I put it on and felt like some sort of female Marlon Brando. I think that I need to start becoming this different, more grown-up person to pull it off though. It's just so wonderful though, expensive for me, but wonderful...

I have bought a few new things.

these amazing brown suede cowboy boots with a tiny kitten heel, tons of slouching/ruching and snakeskin-like details

black cable knit tights (to wear with the boots and a black off shoulder banded bottom tunic dress)

a new black fairy hem skirt with foldover waistband (I had one similar but ripped the back of it on a nail on a fence the other day.)

and my FAVORITE! a deep teal velvet bolero jacket with ruffled edges and big cuffs with oversized teal buttons
