I wldnt buy ANY new tees. I only buy tees from 70s/80s on ebay. 'new' vintage looks awful. you have to have clothes that look like theyre old- like theyve been worn for 20 or 30 years.
thats what vintage means

Oh, they have their new album almost finished! I just can't wait. In that last pic, is the guy on the far right Nick!!??? Really does not look like him.

I saw that, of course, and nearly screamed from happiness. It's kind of weird though because just a few months ago they were saying they had no idea when the album would be done and they would take 5 years to finish it if need be. I hope they didn't rush through this one because they're concerned over critics dubbing bands like The Bravery as "the new Strokes" and referring to The Harlem Shakes as "similar but better than The Strokes". It's annoying how the press, besides NME, talks about The Strokes as something that came and went and that their music is something that can be improved upon. Anyway, I'm sure this album will be fantastic!

I hope they didn't rush the production and end up with a crappy album. That would really ruin their career now that the press won't give them a break. Can't wait till the album comes out, but knowing how great their first two albums are, I am pretty the third will be pretty awesome.

Nycgirl, as sad as it may be, their first CD, Is this It?, the first song on the CD, Is This It? won't work on my radio, but it works in other CD devices in my house.... Grrr, I am really annoyed. Do you have New York City cops on your CD? Which version do you have? I have the one without New York City cops, but mine is a limited edition one that came with a DVD with clips. One of them is New York City Cops live!

yes, it is. i think Ryan or whoever made that was just continuing the great tradition of shamelessly bad, but nevertheless wildly entertaining photoshopped pics of The Strokes.

hey me too! lol. I love the strokes to pieces. I've seem them live 5 times in 4 different cities. I went to their last live performance for the Johnny Ramone cancer benefit in NYC and i met all of them at a party after the show. Nick was even better looking in person. His eyes are so blue, its weird. I asked him if he ever got stopped on the street by fans (in retrospect i had a pretty lame convo with him but i was too nervous to stick to my premeditated script' i.e.- can i have your kid?) But he was cool. He said he didnt get stopped becuase he looks like every other cheesy hipster in New York, lol. They are the nicest guys ever. I first met Fab and Nikolai out in the streets in front of Club Spirit and they talked with me and took pics. Fab is GORGEOUS in person! I just wanted to kidnap him! I also got to see Drew Barrymore in person, she was at the party. Shes very pretty in person but she was like LATCHED onto Fab. Is it true theyre splitsville now? One can only hope

Ugh, I am so tired of Drew B. She's not very pretty and she seems like a very needy person. She is nice though, I'll give her that. She was spotted in the East Village today, so I doubt they are broken up. That's cool you met Nick and he was nice. I always heard he was sort of chilly toward people who approached him. Kimkhuu, I have the CD with the DVD as well, so I guess it doesn't have NYC Cops on it. But, I have the song on my iPod, of course. I'm a little confused though because I have the version with the glove on the ***, and that cover was not on the U.S. version. My point is that I thought all other versions, excepting the one sold in the U.S., had NYC Cops, so I don't know.

Uhhh, where did you hear that? In the new People, if I recall correctly, she says something like she doesn't plan on getting married and is taking things cautiously and slow. I don't think they're engaged. Anyway, opranoodlemantra, that is a glorious picture of Albert, so thanks for posting it.
