You're not on your own Somehow I find guys with a cigarette very attractive. Of course not every guy, but the right ones.
It's kinda sick, cuz I don't smoke anymore and it's such a bad and killing habit, but I can't help it. It just looks so damn hot!

yeh ^^^Ive seen thre of his pictures.. one of Nick and one of a little boy and an old lady. Thos two are in a book of art called.. the broken wrist project ( im pretty sure that right) The old lady is incredible hes so talented.

I guess we just have a different definition of exceptional.

All I've been trying to say is there are tons of bands like them. This doesn't make them a bad band, but there's nothing original about them. Which, again, doesn't necessarily make them bad. I just prefer a band who can provide a new take on what they're feeding on. And I'm not saying liking the Strokes means having low standards; my reply was to no such comment. I am just against the idea of lowering standards for popular music overall, because I feel that most of it is already completely talentless on behalf of the "artist" and "manufactured into an image", as you say.

Yes, the Strokes can play instruments and write songs (what a novel concept for a band), but they're manufactured into an image just like every other pop band. And I'm stressing the term "pop" because there's not usually a problem with any of this in other music (i.e. stuff that isn't on the radio, MTV, etc....basically being manufactured and fed to the mass market).

I agree with the term "pop" besides there are alot of bands nowadays that sound like the strokes

If its easy to sell to the masses then generally its a success.

1. no difficult content/politics

2. no technical innovations

3. no creative depth

I've been to 3 name sites, one says French, one Italian and one Latin! But, they all seem to agree on the meaning.
I've seen In Transit aswell, I have a copy downloaded on my computer. It's the sweetest little movie..
