Why on earth did they chose such a weird name....

Don't get me wrong, I love them to death, but they are starting to disappoint me more and more..... I wish I could say they're such a bunch of sellouts with Fab showing at Dior HC and drinking at Starbucks, and the band showing up at a DKNY hosted after party, or showing up at a Marc Jacobs fashion show...... It saddens me a lot.... I used to love them A HELL LOT...... now I am hesitating... Yes, I still love their music.... ...but they're just really different now....

They're boys who like their fashion, I wouldn't say that's majorly selling out. When the new album comes out you can tell if they've sold out, whether Julian's writing style has changed to become even more mainstream.

Then again, I don't even believe there's selling out. I just think it's when bands develop and a few older fans don't like there work..

eerr... i love the strokes... i am f**ked up cos i recently found out another tfs member has my same nick. she got it first so i want to change mine (the fair thing to do). the problem is that i dont know how i can unsubscribe... (in order to subscribe again with a different nick later...) i hope this makes sense... by the way i love the strokes, i have never met them but i was in nyc last easter and i was amazed ppl there were so friendly so they must be cool in honour of the city. definitely this makes no sense. please i need help with the unsubscription thing.... please help me out. cheers!

They are my favourite too! I hope they plsy a gig in London in an all ages club, other wise I wouldn't get in, I love them so much. I like the name of their new album, I read about it in NME, does anyone else read that?
