The Strokes

I think the Strokes will make it even bigger soon.... Over here their CD made the most sales at HMV last week. :ninja:
Have you bought the album Kimkhuu? I remember you saying you weren't going to. ^_^
Their album is at number 6 in HMV stores over here. And a surf shop I walked into was playing the album too. That's the part I don't like.

and its sooooooooooooooo amazing!!!!!! 1 week till i see them live at london!!!!!!!:woot: :p :woot:

My favorite songs on the new cd include You Only Live Once, Heart in a Cage, Razorblade, Electricityscape, Ize of the World and Red Light. Some of the others just sound like cacophony in some parts.. I reaaaally need to get used to some. It's not like old Strokes CDs where I could just leave the whole thing running without skipping songs. So far, atleast! :)

Oh, and does anyone see some 80s-90s influence? Some songs actually gave me 90s flashbacks last night, and I see some 80s stuff such as On the Other Side, Electricityscape and Ize of the World.

^I agree.

Also, I've noticed that this album has gained them some more fans, atleast with alot of my friends. My friends are what really into sort of Brand New, Taking Back Sunday. But they've all said to me 'The new strokes album is actually really great'.

These guys are becoming HUGE!

 Great just what we need in New York. More Stroke wannabes, or as I affectionately refer to them as: Stroke-A-Likes. :ninja:

oh my gosh:cry: somehow i knew this day would come. dammit

Sooooo, SNL performance. How'd everyone like it? Julian had some trouble reaching the high notes in Juicebox but I thought the rest of it along with You Only Live Once was performed well.

Oh, and Fab's "hoedown" dance at the end was priceless.

Shame on them for trying to appeal to more people..... There music is because terrible in a mainstream kind of way...

And on SNL....? What's next, becoming the artist of the month on MTV? Having their own reality show?

I miss those "is this it?" days......
