Romance is in the air ... with threads -here- such as the one named "The end of sex" (one of the best I've seen on this site) ... and getting constant reports on how vintage is hitting its peak, 50's styled-clothing is invading the racks and bohemian chic seems to be IT.
I'd dare the world is loosing itself to fall in love ... with editorials and ads featuring models with nostalgic eyes and seeing more and more exoticism on them either in the form of the location of the shoot or just the period is evoking, now ... the lady ... the woman isn't anything else but a very smart grown girl!
Accesories seem to be the object of everyone's desire and the once popular minimal look -of the 90's- is fashion-light-years gone ...
Closets filled with prints, knee-lenght skirts, trousers and anything that may seem borrowed from our grandmaman or third-grade teacher is all the rage ...
I'd dare to say we've already taken a 45 degree turn and still note the grey area where we're based now ... how far will this go?
I have no idea, but I'll have to admit with delicious guilt that I love where fashion is heading towards ... It seems a bit selfish to long for a silhouette that has been already used, but at the end of the days and feeling scared of the daily news, some warmth, some craft, and a more escapist/fugue-like approach seems to fit.
So ... what do you think? Do you agree?
