The 'Who Designed This?' Thread

I was wondering if anyone can help me identify the 'design' or style of the dress below. I just want to know, if maybe the style came from a different era, or if the style has a particular name so that I can search for other examples of dresses like this one. Sandra Oh wore this particular dress at the Emmy's (its by Nina Ricci) Lindsey Lohan also wore a similar dress in June to a premiere. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

1st pic I think the designer is Eduardo Lucero. I read in people a young girl got the dress for prom for the show.
